The Art Gallery: services and contacts
The gallery was established in 1978 and is specialised in artists who worked in the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 19th, a lengthy artistic spell of time marked by the presence of great maestros and lesser known artists who, thanks to the promotion carried out in our seats, have achieved a proper position in the sphere of the history of art (Adriano Baracchini Caputi, Guglielmo Amedeo Lori, Elin Danielson, Raffaello Gambogi, Francesco Fanelli, Giangualberto Guerrazzi, Alfredo Müller, Ferruccio Pagni, Leonetto Cappiello, etc.). The Gallery, for over thirty years has set up art exhibitions in our seats, but also in public institutions (I pittori del Lago, Cultura artistica intorno a Giacomo Puccini, Serravezza 1998; Elin Danielson, una donna nella pittura, Livorno 2002; La Scuola di Micheli: da Modigliani Llyod, Pietrasanta – Livorno 2004; Nella luce Italiana, dipinti di Elin Danielson Gambogi and Raffaello Gambogi, Helsinki 2007; Lina Rosso, da Venezia a Torre del Lago, Torre del Lago 2008). The gallery has set up, with endurance, exhibitions of Tuscan art of the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century in the premises of Livorno and Lucca.
Since 1982 we have taken part in national and International antique shows (Florence, Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato; Milan, Internazionale dell’Antiquariato; Modena, Modenantiquaria; Saloni dell’Ottocento of Saint-Vincent, Modena, Como; Artefiera in Bologna).
With the commitment and the passion which distinguishes us, on the wake of the activities that typify the gallery, in the recent years many anthological shows have been realised and some monographies of artists of the Tuscan 19th century, (such as Giulio Allori, Giovanni March, Arturo Cecchi, Alberto Zampieri, Francesco Franchetti). We have dedicated particular attention to the Tuscan school: macchiaioli and post-macchiaioli painters, painters from Versilia and the Leghorn group.
We periodically organise exhibitions in our premises addressed to a public of collectors of particular receptivity. We provide consultancy for the buying and selling of paintings of the 19th and 20th century, esteems, expertise and assessment of property (for the complete list of our services click here).
